Johnny Chiu, GSAPP 06', won the Best of year awards from Interior Design Magazine New York

Congratulates to Johnny Chiu Columbia GSAPP 06' for his latest design award in the US: The best winner of U.S.A. The Best of year awards from Interior Design Magazine New York. Johnny Chiu has won in total 11 International Architecture and Interior design awards in 2016, including American Architecture Prize, Japan Good Design, China's I-ding International Design award, INSIDE World Festival of Interiors, Japan's JCD, Taiwan Golden Pin Design, and the fourth place of Tainan Baseball competition. 
Johnny Chiu founded J.C. Architecture 柏成設計 in Taipei since 2010, with division offices now in New York, his's creativity operates JCArchitecture as a studio think tank, developing, researching and experimenting methodologies for new design possibilities. He is also the founder with Yenling Chen (GSAPP alumni) for OUT Travel Scholarship, promoting design exploration for Taiwanese students to see the world. He is also a board member of CAA Taipei.

From his latest architecture project - DING Hotel, well represent the Tainan city’s old charm and cultural spirit. Associated with the concept of quaint neighborhoods and social interaction, he successfully create a vertical village oasis in an urban setting. 
Another his awarded project - Logistic Republic Office, you could see his office design intention is to think outside the box, and his approach is to allow the encompassing of the site features, user experience, and building efficiency to shape the concept and ultimately the space. Through extensive research and close collaboration with client, Johnny Chiu present a space of limitless possibilities, while remaining true to the core value of the company.
