Dear Alumni,

We’d like to invite you to a beach cleanup on Saturday, September 5th at Baishawan (白沙灣). International Coastal Cleanup Day (the 3^rd Saturday of September) has been changed for 2020 and September is now International Coastal Cleanup. Marine debris has become a serious problem for our environment. We know that a beach cleanup is a starting point and won't solve the problem. But the more people who see the problem can help be part of the solution. This is also a great way to go out into the community, make a difference, and enjoy the outdoors along the way.

Hope you will join us for this educational and fun event that brings us together to raise awareness about ocean conservation.

Meeting point:  Tourist Info Center (address: 253新北市石門區德茂里下員坑33-6號)

Meeting time: 9am SHARP; will wrap-up before noon (and organize an optional lunch nearby)

Getting there:

- Driving: plenty of parking available (e.g.第一停車場)

- Carpool: We can help coordinate.

What to bring:

-water (please bring your OWN bottle(s) since this is a green event. the organizer will also bring some)

-sun block, sunglasses and hat, rain coat (rain or shine! 風雨無阻, 颱風另議) and a can-do, roll-up-your-sleeves spirit

- cash: this is a free event. please pay for your own transportation and lunch(optional). (Participants will be gifted with Columbia swags.)

(Gloves, tongs and garbage bags will be prepared by the Park.)
