We are excited to invite you to our annual Columbia Alumni Taiwan Beach Cleanup on 4/27/2025 (Sun) at Laomei Green Reef (老梅綠石槽) 🏝️.

This event is part of Columbia’s Community Outreach initiative celebrating Earth Day Month, with this year’s global theme “Our Power, Our Planet” (地球力——行動有你，地球有力！) 🌎

Let’s come together for a meaningful morning by the ocean—reconnecting with fellow alumni, enjoying nature, and taking action to protect ecosystem and support environmental awareness at one of Taiwan’s most scenic coastal area.

Stay tuned for a follow-up upcycling session after the cleanup, where we’ll explore creative ways to give new life to collected materials. ♻️

Fee: NTD $400 per person
Menu: Please choose your lunch using the registration form (menu shown below). We will pre-order lunch for everyone.

Please wire the fund before submitting the registration form. The payment will be refunded only when the event is canceled due to force majeure.

[Getting There]
Driving: Parking available (e.g. 老梅綠石槽停車場), $100 per entry on weekends.
Carpool: We can help coordinate.
Public Transportation from MRT Tamsui Station:
Transfer to Tamsui Bus 862, 863 to Mingde Village 1 Station.

[What to Bring]
water (bring your OWN bottle since this is a green event. The organizers will bring a few gallons)
sunblock, sunglasses, and hat, raincoat (rain or shine! 風雨無阻, 颱風另議), and a can-do, roll-up-your-sleeves spirit

*This is a free event. Please pay for your own transportation and lunch (optional).
(gloves, tongs, and plastic bags will be prepared by the Park)
