Friday, June 26


• 8:45 am: Meet in Regent lobby to take transportation for the tour

• 9:00 am – 12:00 pm:  Cultural tour with CAA Taiwan, Johnny  Chiu ‘06GSAPP

  • 8:45 - 9:00am: Transportation from Regent Hotel
  • 9:00 - 11:00am: Longshan Temple 
  • 11:30 - 12:30pm: Urban Regeneration Station
  • 12:30 - 1:00pm: Puppet Theater Museum

• 1:00 – 1:30 pm: Transportation to Din Tai Fung at Taipei 101

• 1:30 – 2:30 pm: Lunch at Din Tai Fung at Taipei 101 

 2:30 – 3:00 pm:  Transportation back to the Regent

• 3:30 – 4:00 pm: Transportation to National Palace Museum (Leaving from Regent Hotel)

                             * Please come dressed for dinner

• 4:15 – 5:15 pm: VIP Private tour of National Palace Museum in English (Invite only)

• 5:30 – 6:30 pm: Entrepreneurship Discussion with Matt Kelner, Assistant Director, Columbia Entrepreneurship (optional for leaders) or self guided tour of Museum

• 7:00 pm:  CAA Event with Dean Mary Boyce and Fermi Wang '89SEAS '91SEAS 

                   Silks Palace: 221 Chishan Road Section 2, Shilin, 3F Ballroom

                   (Complimentary tickets will be provided for leaders)

 * Transportation will be provided from 8:45am for touring, 3:30pm for Museum tour, entrepreneurship discussion, and returning from dinner. Only pick up time for afternoon/evening activities will be at 3:30pm. You may take a cab to National Palace Museum, if you wish to arrive later *

  • 8:50 – 9:00 am: Club Leader Introductions
  • 9:10 – 10:15 am: Session 1: Governance, Succession Planning, Club Categories (Ken Catandella, Nick Yen, Phyllis Savage)
  • 10:15 – 10:30 am: Break 
  • 10:30 – 11:45 am: Session 2: Volunteer Opportunities - CAA, CEO, Internships, mentorships, professional development     (Ken Catandella, Henry Woo, Vincent Ma)

 Afternoon/Evening

  • 12:00 pm – 1:20 pm: Keynote Lunch with Steven Pan '88BUS P: '18CC followed by Q&A
  • 1:20 – 1:30 pm: Break
  • 1:30 – 2:30 pm: Session 3: NationBuilder: Best Practices and Training (Donna MacPhee, Phyllis Savage, Nick Yen). Please bring your laptops to follow along on your club's website.
  • 2:30 – 2:40 pm: Break
  • 2:40 – 3:50 pm: Session 4: Workshops: Engaging your alumni populations 
  • Size/population of community (Olivier Do Ngoc)
  • Events and best practices (Chris Wei)
  • Recruiting, parents and students and Inter-generational relationships (Ruifen Xu and David Peng)
  • 3:50 – 4:00 pm: Final Thoughts and Wrap up Day 1 (Donna/Leaders)
  • 7:00 pm: Cocktails and Dinner at Grand Hotel co-hosted by CAA Taiwan and Fermi Wang '89SEAS '91SEAS (+1's upon request only)

  • 9:40 - 9:45 am: Welcome from Elisa Douglas, Associate Director of Alumni Relations
  • 9:45 – 11:50 am: Goals for 2015 and 2016: Take aways and Action Items
  • 11:55 am - 12:15 pm: Leaders Planning meeting 2016 and CALW 2017. Pitch for your city! View here
  • 12:30 - 2:00 pm: Lunch and Wrap Up (Donna/Leaders)
